A People Business

The words “business” and “industry” don’t exactly evoke the most captivating imagery at first glance. You think first of office buildings, grey cubicles, vast warehouses, and complex machinery.

But there are people in those buildings, in their grey cubicles. And those people are colorful, creative, and wonderful. They are what business and industry is truly about.

These people have hobbies, favorite shirts, and kids that are smarter than they should be. They like ice cream, either hate or love the Yankees, and can read a book in one sitting. They once met a famous person and it wasn’t as cool as they thought it would be. They bought a gym membership, only went once, but run a few miles every day. They like a band that they think no one else knows about. They call their mom every Sunday and every time a recipe calls for allspice.
