On this date in 1915, Ingrid Bergman was born in Sweden. On the same date in 1982, she passed away. In between, she became an internationally-renowned actress, won 3 Oscars, 2 Emmys, and a Tony, worked with legends such as Ingmar Bergman (no relation), Alfred Hitchcock, Gregory Peck, Joseph Cotten, and Cary Grant.

Oh and when she had time, she starred alongside Humphrey Bogart in what is possibly the greatest, most iconic film ever made. Not too shabby. If you have any doubts, pop some popcorn, dim the lights, and put in Casablanca. All doubts will dissolve.

Bergman’s classic beauty and genuine acting brilliance makes it nearly impossible to take your eyes off her anytime she is on screen. To say she is magnetic is a gross understatement. All due respect to Mr. Bogart, but if we had a gin joint, we would be happy to see her walk into ours.
